LA Tech Football to Host Spring Game, April 22

RUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech fans will get an opportunity to preview the Bulldogs during the 2023 LA Tech Spring Game on Saturday April 22 at 11 a.m. inside Joe Aillet Stadium.  
 
All fans, students, and alumni can enjoy free admission to the game for a sneak peek of the 2023 Bulldogs. The Bulldogs host six home games on the 2023 schedule, with the season opener against FIU on Saturday, August 26. 
 
Fans are encouraged to enter on the west side of Joe Aillet Stadium where apparel, concessions, and bathrooms will be accessible. The east side of the stadium will be closed for the annual Big Event.
 
Gates will open at 10 a.m. and fans are welcome to tailgate in the parking lots surrounding the stadium.
 
The game will consist of two 15-minute running clock halves with a 10-minute halftime. The halftime will feature an introduction and recognition of football alumni in attendance. Following the game fans and meet and greet student-athletes and coaches during an autograph session on the field.
 
The Spring Game will pit the offense against the defense with a customized scoring system to determine the winner. The scoring system can be found in the table below. LA Tech officials expect the game to last approximately 60 to 90 minutes.
 
After the game, fans are invited to join the Bulldogs on the field for a player autograph session and will receive an exclusive 2023 Season Schedule poster. 
 
Premium Seating Areas 

The 13 suite holders within the Chris Richardson Family Suite Level will have access to their suites during the game. Suite holders with questions should contact Colton Primm, Senior Associate AD for Championship Resources, at cprimm@latechalumni.org

Davison Athletics Complex seat holders or those interested in purchasing seats in this space for the upcoming 2023 campaign can email Assistant AD of Ticket Sales and Service Ashley Brooks, at abrooks@latech.edu, to sit in this area and check out available seats for the 2023 season. The DAC will be closed during the Spring Game.

 
Football Alumni Tailgate
 
In conjunction with the game, a Football Alumni Tailgate in the north end zone of Joe Aillet Stadium will take place. 
 
All former Louisiana Tech football players are invited to attend and reconnect with teammates and fellow football alumni. The event is free and exclusive to former Louisiana Tech football student-athletes and their families and is sponsored by the Louisiana Tech T-Club.
 
The event will begin at 11 a.m. in the north end zone. Additionally, Coach Cumbie and his staff will host football alums for a dinner in the DAC Friday night ahead of the Spring Game. Football alums wishing to attend the weekend's events can view more details and register free of charge at www.latechalumni.org/fbalumni

Champions Plaza Groundbreaking Event
 
All Bulldog football alums, LA Tech alums and the general public are encouraged to attend groundbreaking of the Sarah and A.L. Williams Champions Plaza at 10 a.m.
               
The plaza, named in honor of former Louisiana Tech student-athlete and football coach A.L. Williams and his wife, Sarah, will include recognition of the most highly-decorated student-athletes and teams in the University's history, including statues of Terry Bradshaw, Fred Dean, Karl Malone, Kim Mulkey, Willie Roaf, and Teresa Weatherspoon.
 
Champions Plaza will be located in the northeast corner outside of Joe Aillet Stadium.  It is part of a redesign of the north end zone entrance of the facility that will also include a new student-athlete success center in the near future.
 
Former LA Tech football standout Chris Richardson, who is the nephew of A.L. and Sarah Williams, provided the philanthropic gift that will fund the construction of the plaza.
  
Football Season Tickets 
  
Season tickets for the 2023 Louisiana Tech football season are on sale now. Fans can purchase season tickets online at LATechSports.com/tickets or by calling the LA Tech Ticket Office at (318) 257-3631.
 
Fans will also be able to purchase season tickets Saturday at the game in the west side Ticket Office from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The ticket office inside the Thomas Assembly Center will be closed.
