ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (3-1)
Louisiana Tech struggled to get anything going in the second half to Stephen F. Austin. The Lady Techsters fell 70-56 to the Ladyjacks on Saturday night.
Jordan Marshall continues to have a phenomenal start to her Lady Techster career. The freshman extended her double-figure scoring streak to four and recorded her first double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. For the season, Marshall is averaging 15.8 ppg on a 47.9 shooting percentage with 9.8 boards a contest.
Another freshman who is having a great start to her career is Paris Bradley. The Texas native scored in double figures for the first time in a Lady Techster uniform with 13 points against SFA. She averages 8.0 ppg and has a team-high 2.3 assists per contest.
Jianna Morris controls the Lady Techster offense at the point. She isn't afraid of contact and gets to the free throw line at one of the highest rates in the country. Morris has 36 attempts on the year, which is tops in Conference USA and ranks eighth nationally. Her 28 made also leads the league and is 10th in the country.
ABOUT MISSISSIPPI VALLEY (0-4)
Mississippi Valley comes into the game after dropping their first four games in the season. The Devilettes give up 91.0 points per game but have had close contests with Memphis (89-78) and Lipscomb (69-56).
Sh'Diamond McKnight leads MSVU in several categories after recording her second 20-point performance of the year against UAB. The Bossier City native leads the team with 13.8 points, 3.5 assists, and 4.3 steals per game. She is also second on the team with 4.0 rebounds a contest.
Valley's second-leading scorer, Clemisha Prackett, missed their last game against UAB but scored 17 against Lipscomb and 11 against Arkansas State in their two previous games. The center also grabbed nine and seven boards in those two games for a team-leading 6.0 per game average.
MSVU has a balanced attack and relies a lot on their bench. The Devilettes rank 28th in the country with 33.3 points coming from their bench. That is over 50 percent of their offensive output.
