ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (0-0)
Louisiana Tech returns just four players from the team that reached the Conference USA semifinals a year ago. CUSA All-Freshman Team member Jianna Morris and graduate student Robyn Lee look to lead the Lady Techsters, who have nine new faces, including seven freshmen.

Morris started all 33 games while playing the second-most minutes by a freshman in program history at 1,052. The Arkansas native finished the year averaging 7.0 points per game, adding 107 rebounds and 72 assists. She averaged 13.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in the two Tech CUSA Tournament games.

The Lady Techsters will also rely on the experience of Lee, who is entering her fifth year. The grad student has seen her production rise in each of her four seasons in Ruston. She currently has 713 points, 287 rebounds, and 111 assists in her career.

New faces expected to step up immediately are graduate transfer Sydney Thomas and freshmen Jordan Marshall and Paris Bradly. Thomas comes to Tech from Kentucky State after averaging 7.6 points and 4.0 rebounds during her senior season. Bradly is a member of the 1,000-point club at Hebron High School in Texas after winning multiple All-District honors. Marshall was named Arkansas 6A State Championship game MVP after leading her team to the title. She was named All-State and All-Tournament for three years while earning All-Conference all four years.

ABOUT NICHOLLS (0-0)
Nicholls is coming off a 14-18 season under Justin Payne, entering his second season. The Colonels are picked to finish seventh in the Southland Conference.

Half of the Nicholls roster is new this year. The Colonels added four transfers along with four freshmen.

Sophomore Britiya Curtis is the top returner after earning Southland Freshman of the Year. The preseason second-team All-Conference member averaged 10.6 points and 3.0 rebounds a contest in her first season. The Georgia native had 16 double-digit scoring games, including two games over 20. Deonna Brister is Nicholls's other top returner with 8.1 points and 4.5 boards a contest.
