ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (5-5)
Louisiana Tech fell to No. 12 TCU 92-41 on Sunday in Fort Worth, Texas. Paris Bradley led the Lady Techsters with 15 points. Jianna Morris added 11, and Taylor Rietveld had five rebounds.
Bradley has now scored in double figures for three straight games. The freshman had 15 against Baylor and 11 against Alcorn. She continues to be an all-around threat for the Techsters. She averages 9.3 points, 2.8 boards, 2.1 assists, and 1.0 steals a game. She has recorded an assist in every game and a steal in six straight to start her collegiate career.
Morris has started every game for LA Tech in her two seasons. She scored double figures in seven of the nine games this year. The sophomore is second on the team with an 11.6 average. She ranks second in Conference USA in free throw attempts (59), free throws made (46), and minutes per game (34.96) while also ranking fourth with a 78.0 percent mark from the charity stripe.
Isla Airey and Jordan Marshall have been two of the best freshmen in the country. Airey is fourth among freshmen with 18 blocks and sixth with a 2.00 average. Marshall continues to lead freshmen nationally with 8.9 boards a contest.
ABOUT CENTRAL BAPTIST (5-5)
Central Baptist comes into the contest after beating Harris-Stowe 75-61. The Lady Mustangs are part of the American Midwest Conference in NAIA. They have played three other NCAA programs this season, falling to ULM, Little Rock, and Central Arkansas.
Kory Heffentrager is in her first season at the helm for CBC. Heffentrager played for the Lady Mustangs from 2016-20.
CBC has seven returners from a team that finished 7-18 last season and 6-12 in conference play. Rhys Anderson is the top returner after earning All-Conference Honorable Mention and Conference All-Tournament team last season.
Raigan Head leads the team with 15.8 points and 10.3 boards a game. Aliya Grotjohn (11.9) and Riley Whittington (10.9) are the other two Lady Mustangs in double digits. Addison Hudspeth (8.9), Tamara Christmas (8.8), and Lydia York (7.1) are all near double-figure scoring averages.
CBC shoots 38.8 percent from the field and 32.4 percent from deep. They average 39.3 rebounds a contest.
