Bulldogs Close Out Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas — Louisiana Tech's track and field teams ran two event finals on the final day of the 96thg Clyde Little Field Texas Relays at Mike A Myers Stadium.
 
Rodney Heath Jr. was the first Bulldog to take the track in the 100m finals. He qualified for the finals by taking heat four with a season-best tying 10.13. Heath Jr. would run a 10.23 in the finals to finish fourth.
 
Jamara Patterson, Saran Kouyate, Faith Tarver, and Osaretin Usenbor ended the day in the Sanya Richards-Ross 4x400, setting a season-best time of 3:38.39 to finish sixth. That time places them 48th in the country and 27th in the East Region. They qualified by running a 3:39.45 the day before.
 
UP NEXT
The Bulldogs travel to College Station, Texas, for the 44 Farms Team Invitational on April 5-6 at E.B. Cushing Stadium.
