RUSTON – Louisiana Tech will make the two-hour drive to Texarkana, Arkansas to compete in the 2024 Conference USA Men's Golf Championship. The Bulldogs will feature a lineup of four seniors and one freshman.

ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH
LA Tech wrapped up its 12th and final event of the regular season this past week, finishing ninth at the Mossy Oak Collegiate in West Point, Mississippi.
Niilo Maki-Petaja registered his fifth top-20 finish of the season, and his fourth in the last six events, by tying for 15th. The freshman, who up to No. 201 in the country per Scoreboard, has been the top Bulldog in seven of his 10 events he has played and currently leads the team with a 72.30 stroke average.
Right behind him in scoring average is fifth-year senior
Hunter Battles at 73.92. He has two top-20 finishes in eight events this season with his best effort coming at the Louisiana Classics, finishing tied for 15th about a month ago.
Will Patrick, who has a season stroke average of 75.11 across nine events, will be the third Bulldog in the lineup. The senior had one of his best efforts this past week at the Mossy Oak Collegiate, tying for 35th while shooting a 70 (-2) in round two (tied for his second-best round of the season).
Thomas Henson will be fourth, playing in his sixth event which have all come in the spring portion of the calendar with him missing the fall due to injury. The senior nearly cracked the top 20 in his first tournament back at the Hal Williams Collegiate, shooting 73-69-70 to finish tied for 21st.
Fifth-year senior
Lake Juban will round out the lineup for LA Tech. He has a season stroke average of 74.00 while playing in nine events. He has played some of his best golf as of late, tying for 12th at the Aggie Invitational while shooting a season-low 68 in the second round.
