MONROE, La. — Louisiana Tech's track and field teams set six top 100 marks in the country, 11 personal best, and five season best on the final day of the Warhawk Classic at Brown Stadium.
Kionnah Weaver placed second in the 100m hurdles with 13.60 seconds (+2.9), moving her to No. 78 on the NCAA performance list.
Three Bulldogs moved into the top 100 in the men's 100m. The school record holder, Rodney Heath Jr., wasn't far off his top time with 10.07 seconds (+2.3) to take the top spot and move into No. 3 in the NCAA. Karo Oghomi ran 10.20 seconds (2.3) for third, and Valentino Rudolph had a mark of 10.39 seconds (+2.6) for 11th. Oghomi's mark is No. 21 in the country, while Rudolph has the No. 87 time.
Shatalya Dorsett moved into seventh on the LA Tech performance list with 23.33 seconds (+3.5) to talk gold in the 200m. She sits at No. 37 in the country this season.
The final Bulldog to move into the national top 100 was Valentino Rudolph on the men's side of the 200m. Rudolph moved into No. 56, crossing at 20.73 seconds (+2.5) to take home a third-place finish.
