RUSTON – Louisiana Tech's freshman guard Paris Bradley was named Conference USA Freshman of the Week for the third straight week, announced by the league on Monday.
Bradley scored 37 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in LA Tech's two games last week. She would shoot 57.1 percent from the field, 54.5 from behind the arc, and 87.5 from the free throw line.
The 5-9 guard set a new career-high with 20 points and six rebounds against FIU while adding three assists, two steals and a block. She became the second freshman to score 20 points in a game since JaQuan Jackson in 2014, joining fellow freshman Jordan Marshall.
Against Liberty, the Carrollton, Texas, native scored 17 points and grabbed four boards.
Since the Baylor game, Bradley has seen her average increase by 3.8 points a game after scoring in double figures in seven of the last nine games, including five of 15+.
On the season, Bradley ranks No. 18 in CUSA with 11.0 ppg, No. 6 with 2.9 assists per game, and No. 14 at 1.7 steals a contest.
Louisiana Tech will return to the Thomas Assembly Center to take on Jacksonville State on Thursday, January 16, for a 6:30 tipoff on ESPN+.
