RUSTON – For the fourth straight time, Louisiana Tech's Paris Bradley was named the Conference USA Freshman of the Week, announced by the league on Monday.
Bradley breaks a tie with JaQuan Jackson for the most CUSA Freshman of the Week honors for LA Tech.
The 5-9 guard scored 33 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead LA Tech to a 2-0 week with wins over Jacksonville State and Kennesaw State.
Against the Gamecocks, Bradley nearly recorded her first double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds, with seven and six coming in the second had to lead the Lady Techsters back from a halftime deficit. She shot an efficient 4-8 from the field and 4-5 from the charity stripe.
The Carrollton, Texas native had a masterful performance against the Owls. Bradley had her second 20-point performance of the season with 21 on 58.3 percent shooting. She added two boards, two steals, and a block.
Over the last 11 games, Bradley has increased her average 4.4 points a game. She has scored double figures in nine of those, with six of 15 or more. She currently ranks second on the team in average, at 11.6, and leads the Techsters with 2.7 assists and 1.6 steals a contest.
