RUSTON – Louisiana Tech men's and women's cross country concluded the Grambling Cross Country Invite with team and individual first-place finishes from both sides at Lincoln Parish Park Thursday afternoon.
The women opened up the meet with their 5k race, finishing in first overall with 22 points over Southern and Grambling.
Delaney Lopez saw her first career victory in a cross country event followed by
Lexa Thompson in third for her highest career finish.
Mallory Swint,
Katie Langford,
Brooke Fontenot and
Katelyn Bucci were also among the top 10 in Thursday's meet, with
Gracie Pepitone just outside finishing 11th.
The men finished first over Southern, Grambling and Centenary with 33 team points and five of the six Bulldogs competing finishing among the top 10.
Brayden Vining saw his first career victory in his first time running the 5k.

Arie Linton saw top-10 finishes along with
Reese Jacobs coming across the line among the top 15 finishers.
The Bulldogs close out the regular season at the Watson Collegiate Classic in Clinton, Mississippi, hosted by Mississippi College on Friday, October 17 before competing in the CUSA Championships in Huntsville, Alabama on November 1.
