
Bulldogs Wrap Up Competition At CUSA Championships

Delaney Lopez and Brayden Vining concluded Saturday’s race as the men’s’ and women’s’ top performers.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Louisiana Tech men's and women's cross country concluded the 2025 season at the Conference USA Championships at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, Alabama.
The women opened up with the first race of the day, with Delaney Lopez being the first Bulldog to cross the finish line with a time of 23:47.5. Lexa Thompson saw a new personal best in the 6k with a time of 24:13.8 followed by Bailey Springer with a new mark of 24:17.5.
Mallory Swint also saw a new mark as LA Tech's fourth finisher with Gracie Pepitone rounding out the top five for the Bulldogs.
Freshman Brayden Vining continued his run of being the top performer on the men's side, finishing with a new 8k mark of 26:14.2. Jake Pyles and Dillon Sanchez followed as the next finishers for the Bulldogs with Arie Linton and Grayson Smith rounding out the top five for the Bulldog men.
