LA Tech Athletics Achieves All-Time High Classroom Performance

LA Tech student-athletes recorded a 3.353 grade point average for the fall quarter, the highest ever term GPA on record

RUSTON – Louisiana Tech student-athletes continue to excel academically, recording a 3.353 grade point average for the fall quarter which marks the highest ever term GPA on record.
 
LA Tech saw 13 of its 14 athletic rosters post a term GPA of at least 3.00, seven of which generated term GPA's that ranked in the top three among their programs including baseball, football, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's track and field, soccer, and volleyball.
 
Soccer had the highest term GPA in the fall at 3.71, second highest ever for the program.  Another highlight included men's basketball which registered its highest ever term GPA at 3.22.
 
A record total of 251 Bulldogs and Lady Techsters achieved the AD Honor Roll (term GPA of 3.00 and above) with 189 of those earning academic honors – 138 student-athletes made the Dean's list (3.5-3.85 GPA) and 51 made the President's List (3.85+ GPA).
 
There were six student-athletes who earned degrees this fall including Joshua Cobbs (Football), Ean Burch (Football), Madita Ehrig (Soccer), Allie Floyd (Softball), Kimeone McLeod (Women's Track and Field), and Maria Ferreiro Pena (Women's Track and Field).
 
The following is a list of student-athletes (59) who earned a perfect 4.00 GPA for the fall quarter:
