RUSTON – Louisiana Tech football's
Devin Gandy was named Conference USA's Special Teams Player of the Week after his performance against Missouri State, the conference announced Monday.
The redshirt senior returned three kicks for 131 yards, highlighted by a 93-yard touchdown return in the fourth quarter.
Gandy's touchdown return marked his second of the season. He led CUSA in return yards (467), touchdowns (2) and average (31.1) this season. Gandy had six 25+ yard returns. His 467 kick return yards ranks 14th best in the FBS, while his two scores is tied for first in the nation.
This marks the ninth CUSA weekly award won by the Bulldogs this season.
