ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (17-15, 8-10 CUSA)
Robyn Lee and
Jordan Marshall had double-doubles to lead Louisiana Tech to a 71-64 win over Texas Southern on Monday night inside the Thomas Assembly Center. The win was the first postseason win for the Lady Techsters since a 77-54 win over SMU in the 2009 WNIT.
Â
Both players finished with 19 points, while Marshall had 14 rebounds and Lee finished with 11. It was the 11th double-double of the season for Marshall, the most in a single season since Jasmine Leblanc had 10 during the 2016-17 season and the fourth most by a freshman. The 16 total double-doubles by the Lady Techsters this season are also the most since that season.
Â
Four other Lady Techsters finished with seven or more points.
Paris Bradley finished with nine points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.
Isla Airey had nine points, six boards and five blocks.
Â
Airey is proving herself to be one of the top shotblockers in the country. Her five blocks against TSU was the third game this season with five. She moved into third on the Lady Techsters freshman single-season blocks list with 53, ranking 54th in the country.
