LA Tech is coming off an 11th-place finish at the highly competitive Marodie Intercollegiate in Carrollton, Texas that had four teams ranked in the top 15 in the country participating.
Â
Niilo Maki-Petaja claimed his third top 10 finish of the season, shooting 73-69-77=219 (+2) to tie for eighth, defeating eight 100 golfers in the process. The highlight of the tournament for Maki-Petaja came in round two when he sank his first ever hole in one. As a result, the sophomore was named Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week.Â
Â
The Helsinki, Finland native has been the top Bulldog in nine of the 10 events this season and is currently ranked No. 186 in the nation. He currently has a stroke average of 70.83, having registered 20 rounds at or under par this season.

Â
Jake Plumb is in the lineup for the third straight event and is right behind Bailey with a stroke average of 73.58. Playing in his 11th tournament will be
