RUSTON – Louisiana Tech softball will conclude its eight-game road trip with a trip to Nacogdoches, Texas, to take on Stephen F. Austin on Tuesday night. First pitch from SFA Softball Field is set for 6:00 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.

SERIES HISTORY VS. SFA
This will be the 71
st meeting between the Bulldogs and Lumberjacks and the second meeting this season. The two schools first met in 1980, with SFA winning the first three matchups. LA Tech and SFA matched up for the first time since 2022 in early March at Dr. Billy Bundrick Field, with the Bulldogs earning a 4-0 shutout.
Mattison Buster pitched 4.0 innings in relief to earn the win, while
Claire Raley paced LA Tech at the plate with three RBI on two hits.
KB Briley collected three hits in the first meeting.
ABOUT LA TECH
The Bulldogs moved to 28-18 (14-7 CUSA) after completing a three-game CUSA sweep of Kennesaw State this past weekend. LA Tech recorded two shutout wins after earning a 4-0 win in Thursday's opener and a 6-0 win in Saturday's finale. The Bulldogs defeated the Owls 11-6 on Friday.
LA Tech outhit the Owls 25-20 in the series, with 12 of their hits going for extra bases.
Nicole Hammoude and
Alexis Gilio both recorded five RBI days. Gilio finished the series with six hits, five RBI and five runs.
Allie Furr added six hits and five runs, while
Reagan Marchant had four hits and seven RBI. All of Marchant's hits went for extra bases. Hammoude finished with four hits and five RBI.
The Bulldogs now have five players with 40+ hits this season after Marchant's (41) four hits this weekend. She joins
Elena Heng (51), Hammoude (49), Gilio (48), and
Claire Raley (45).
Hammoude leads the team with 41 RBI, followed by Marchant (39), and Raley (29). Marchant hit her 13
th home run of the season in Friday night's win as she leads the team with 13 long balls. Hammoude hit her eighth home run of the season in Sunday's win, giving the Bulldogs 32 as a team this season.
Allie Floyd moved to 20-9 on the season and became the 18
th LA Tech pitcher in program history to record 20 wins in a single season. She tossed two complete-game shutouts against the Owls and earned her second CUSA Pitcher of the Week Award. The right-hander logged 14.0 innings and allowed nine hits while striking out 11 and issuing just four walks. Floyd logged 7.0 innings in Thursday night's 4-0 win while only allowing three hits. She pitched a second 7.0 inning complete game in Saturday's 6-0 win and struck out eight Owls while allowing six hits.
She leads the league in wins (20), complete games (15), innings pitched (173.0), and strikeouts (164).
Alyssa Martin earned her second victory of the season after pitching 3.0 innings of relief in Saturday's 11-6 win. She did not allow a hit or a run and struck out two.
ABOUT STEPHEN F. AUSTIN
SFA comes into tomorrow night's meeting with a 26-23 (14-10 SLC) record. The Lumberjacks took two games from Texas A&M Corpus Christi this past weekend.
The Lumberjacks are batting .303 as a team and they have outhit their opponents 387-360 this season. Ellie Vance leads the team with 65 hits, followed by Kaylee Paul with 51. Paul's .443 average leads the group, while Vance carries a .382. Mikaelah Burton has collected 50 hits and leads the team with 33 runs. Kyi'Marri Ester leads the team with 28 RBI, followed by Hope Lusk's 28.
The SFA pitching staff holds a 4.77 ERA as opponents are batting .289 against them. Alexis Telford is the top arm in the circle as she holds a 10-5 record with a team best 3.03 ERA. She has pitched 86.0 innings with eight complete games and three shutouts. Telford is second on the team with 50 strikeouts.
Jordyn Ages and Reagan Hall both have six wins this season. Hall leads the team with 54 strikeouts.
