Ruston — Incoming freshman Kyrah Durham has been named a Dexter High School All-American, announced by USBC at the start of Junior Gold.
 
With this honor, Durham becomes the fifth Bulldog and the fourth under head coach Matt Nantais to receive the distinction, following teammate Ashley Imhoff, who earned it last year.
 
"Being named a Dexter All-American isn't just about bowling ability," Nantais said. "It also recognizes excellence in academics, character, and community service. Kyrah exemplifies everything this award represents. She becomes the fifth student-athlete from Louisiana Tech to earn the honor of being named a Dexter All-American."
 
Durham's achievements extend beyond athletics. At Mansfield Lake Ridge High School, she excelled academically and in extracurriculars such as Future Medical Professionals, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Health Occupations Students of America. She graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA, earning Teacher's Choice and Senior of the Month honors along the way.
 
Her dedication to bowling continues outside of competition as well. Since 2022, Durham has served as Texas USBC State Youth Director, working to strengthen the bowling community statewide. Her leadership was recognized with the Texas State Youth Bowler Service Award in 2021.
 
Durham is just as impressive with a bowling ball in her hands, however. She was a three-time varsity letter winner for Mansfield Lake Ridge (2022, 2023 and 2024), a two-time Texas State All-Events Scratch champion (2022 and 2024). She has qualified for the Junior Gold Championships national finals every year since 2018.
