ABOUT ARGENT FINANCIAL CLASSIC
This year's event will mark the 26th time LA Tech has hosted a tournament on its home course, Squire Creek Country Club. Argent Financial Group, a wealth management firm with headquarters in Ruston, returns as the title sponsor for a third straight season.
ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH
All nine Bulldogs will be in action for the season-opening event.
Riley Hnatyshyn,
Chase Williams,
Morton Bailey,
Isaac Adams, and
Abel Derksen will compete as a team while
Oskari Schuvalow,
Seth Campbell,
Gray Kingrea, and
Alejandro Sanchez will compete as individuals.
Hnatyshyn is the most seasoned Bulldog. The senior has participated in 12 events over his three years, including five last season when he had a stroke average of 76.07 over 15 rounds. He posted three rounds at or under par, including a season-low 69 (-3) in the final round of the CUSA Championship.
Meanwhile, Bailey looks to carry over momentum from a solid freshman campaign. The sophomore played in 11 events last season, recording a stroke average of 76.06, second best on the team. He tallied 12 rounds at or under par while totaling 102 birdies.
Another Bulldog looking to make a jump is
Isaac Adams. The sophomore participated in three events in his first year last season with his best round coming in the Argent Financial Classic.
Schuvalow returns as well after registering a stroke average of 74.94 over 35 rounds in 2024-25. The junior posted 12 rounds at or under par, tied for second on the team. A couple other returning juniors are Kingrea and Sanchez. Kingrea will be competing in his second AFC while Sanchez will be playing for the first time in the home event.
Making their Bulldog debuts will be Williams, Derksen, and Campbell. All three transfers look to make an impact at LA Tech this season.
