ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (8-5, 1-1 CUSA)
The Lady Techsters are coming off their first trip to the First State, defeating Delaware 65-50 in the first matchup between the two programs. Louisiana Tech started hot out of the gate with Averi Aaron scoring the first four points of the game, entering the first media timeout up 10-4. Alexia Weaver added scoring inside and out, adding eight in the frame. The second half saw both offenses struggle with LA Tech only making two baskets on 15 attempts. Both teams rebounded in the second half with six Lady Techsters scoring in the third for 19 points as a team in the frame. The Blue Hens gave a scare to start the final quarter, racing out to an 8-0 run in the first 90 seconds. Louisiana Tech answered fast, beginning their own 12-0 run, holding Delaware to zero points for almost five minutes. The final two minutes saw no more action, ending the inaugural game in a 65-50 Louisiana Tech victory.

Alexia Weaver led the team in scoring for the third time this season with 17 points. Her five three pointers marked a new career high and the third time she has made at least four.

Averi Aaron was on triple-double watch in her return to the starting lineup, finishing with eight points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists. Aaron's 10 rebounds and seven assists were both new career highs and game highs.

Paris Bradley contributed in a variety of ways, having the second most points (13), rebounds (9), and assists (5) for the Lady Techsters. The reigning Conference USA Freshman of the Year has scored in double-figures in every game this season except one, scoring nine against Grambling.

Thursday night was the first road win of the season for the Lady Techsters, breaking a four-game losing streak, dating back to last season. Louisiana Tech led in points from turnovers, points in the paint, second chance points, fast break points, and bench points. This is the fifth time this season to lead in all five categories. The Lady Techsters never trailed in the game for the fifth time this season.

ABOUT LIBERTY (8-6, 2-1 CUSA)
The Lady Flames are coming off an uncharacteristic home loss against Sam Houston, falling 59-53. This marks only the fourth league loss for Liberty at home in their two years in Conference USA. Sam Houston forced 20 turnovers and held the Lady Flames to their lowest offensive output of the season.
Elisabeth Aegisdottir and Emmy Stout shared the scoring title with 11 points, while redshirt-freshman Ify Nwaobi grabbed an outstanding 16 rebounds.

Avery Mills is the reigning Conference USA Player of the Week after averaging 23.5 ppg on 68.8 three point shooting percentage against New Mexico State and UTEP. Mills is one of the best three-point shooters in the country, ranking 29th in three-pointers made (44) and 39th in three-point percentage (41.9). Both lead the conference.

Claudia Acin leads the conference in assists per game with 4.7, totaling 52 on the season. Ify Nwaobi ranks second in the conference in rebounds corralling 10.0 per game, only one of two players averaging at least 10 in the league.

THE SERIES
Liberty owns a 4-1 series lead since joining Conference USA in the 2023-24 season. The regular season was split 1-1 last season with both teams winning their home games, but Liberty bounced LA Tech from the Conference USA tournament in a dominant 80-53 victory, the largest margin in series history. Averi Aaron was the leading scorer and rebounder for the Lady Techsters, scoring 16 points and grabbing seven boards.
