ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (9-5, 2-1 CUSA)
The Lady Techsters are returning from the most successful away-stand since 2023, winning both games against Liberty and Delaware. Louisiana Tech's offense was on full display against Liberty in their trip to Lynchburg. After starting the game in a 9-1 hole, the Lady Techsters ripped of a 12-0 run and never gave the Lady Flames the lead back. LA Tech set new season highs for field goal percentage (55.1), three-point percentage (60.0), free throw percentage (87.0), and three-pointers made (12) in the 86-72 victory, their first in Liberty Arena.

Paris Bradley was must see TV in Lynchburg. The reigning Preseason Conference Player of the Year put up a career high 31 points, her first 30-point game of her career and the first Lady Techster 30-point game since Keiunna Walker scored 30 against FAU in March 2023. Bradley also started the game 7-7 from three-point territory, also a career high and the first 7 three-point game since Taylor Stahly had 7 against Charlotte in 2019. Her performance set new arena records in both categories. Bradley finished the game with 31 points, shooting 10-12 from the field, 7-8 from downtown, 4-4 from the line, and added five rebounds.

Averi Aaron also impressed in Lynchburg, adding in a career high 21 points on 8-10 shooting, including 2-3 from behind the arc. Eight field goals tied her career high, marking five career highs that were set or tied in the two game away stand for the sophomore forward. Aaron also grabbed a team high seven rebounds, her second game in a row of leading the team and fifth on the season.

Louisiana Tech has been one of the best assisting teams in the country this season. Ranked 37th nationally, the Lady Techsters lead the conference with 16.9 assists per game. Paris Bradley, Joy Madison-Key, and Alexia Weaver combine for 135 assists on the season and are ranked fifth, sixth, and seventh in the conference, respectively. The only other team in the conference with multiple players in the top 12 in assists per game is Kennesaw State with two, Louisiana Tech has three players in the top seven.

ABOUT MIDDLE TENNESSEE (9-7, 4-0 CUSA)
The Blue Raiders are one of three remaining undefeated teams in conference play and are coming off two dominant wins at home against UTEP and New Mexico State, winning both games by over 30 points. Most recently, Middle Tennessee defeated New Mexico State 88-51, the most points by MTSU this season. Sustained runs and outside shooting helped the Blue Raiders dominate, leading by 49-19 at the halfway point while shooting 52.0 percent from downtown. Alayna Contreras led the way with 18 points while Macie Phifer notched a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Yu Han Lin provided a spark off the bench with 15 points in 19 minutes.

Middle Tennessee is riddled with productive freshmen, having three different players win the Conference Player of the Week award.

Blair Baugus leads the trio with five and is the current minutes leader in Conference USA, averaging 34.8 a night. Baugus is fourth in rebounding in the league at 9.1 per game, and is ninth in points with 13.3, both leading the Blue Raiders. The 6-foot-1 guard is also top eight in steals and blocks in Conference USA and has eight double-doubles on the year.

Yu Han Lin is the most recent winner of the award, winning this past week after averaging 16.5 points on just 17 minutes a game from the bench. The Taiwan native is just one of three Taiwanese players in NCAA Division I basketball.

Macie Phifer rounds out the trio, winning Freshman of the Week on Dec. 15 after scoring a career high 20 points and 10 rebounds. Phifer is one of the most decorated athletes to come out of Mississippi, scoring 3,519 points and winning seven state championships in basketball and volleyball.

THE SERIES
Middle Tennessee holds a 15-7 series lead over Louisiana Tech. The Blue Raiders are currently holding a seven-game win streak, the longest of the series and their second streak of at least six. The last matchup was in Ruston where both defenses bolstered their ends of the court, resulting in a 55-46 MTSU victory. Jordan Marshall led the way for the Lady Techsters, scoring a team high 14 points and grabbing a team high nine boards.
