ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (11-5, 4-1 CUSA)
The Lady Techsters are coming off their fourth win in a row and their best start in Conference USA history, besting the Lady Toppers of Western Kentucky in Ruston Saturday afternoon 79-65. Alexia Weaver's three pointer sent the game into the first media with a 7-5 Lady Techster lead, one that would never be surrendered. Western Kentucky would string together a 7-0 run in the second quarter to bring the game within five, but Louisiana Tech would roar with a 14-2 run to keep the game out of reach 41-24 entering the second half. The Lady Techsters lead never fell below double-digits in the second half, winning 79-65.

Five players for LA Tech reached double-figure scoring, the fourth time this season. The rock was tossed around the best it has been in Conference USA with the Lady Techsters recording 26 assists on 30 baskets, the most by a CUSA team in conference play this season. Alexia Weaver led Louisiana Tech in scoring with 16 points while Joy Madison-Key dished out seven assists, tying the most by a Lady Techster this season.

In conference play, Louisiana Tech leads CUSA in assists per game with 19.4 and in field goal percentage, shooting 47.8 percent. LA Tech is also second in points with 71.0 per game and in three-point percentage at 39.0 percent.

Louisiana Tech is currently in third place in Conference USA standings with a 4-1 record, the best start in CUSA history for the Lady Techsters. LA Tech is currently on a four-game win streak, winning all four by at least 12 points.

Paris Bradley leads the team with 17.8 points per game since January, a mark that sits fifth in the league. Bradey is fourth in the league at 52.5 field goal percentage and second in three-point percentage at 50.0 percent.

Jianna Morris continues to be a marksman from deep, making a three pointer in 22 straight games.

ABOUT MISSOURI STATE (12-6. 4-1 CUSA)
The Lady Bears are coming off their first loss as Conference USA members, falling to New Mexico State in Las Cruces 63-56. MoState found themselves in a 38-25 hole to start the second half, but a 11-2 run early in the fourth quarter closed the Aggie lead to six. Kaemyn Bekemeier's layup closed the gap to two, but the Lady Bear defense could not string together enough stops to prevail, ending their undefeated season. Lainie Douglas led MSU with 17 points while Bekemeier grabbed a team high seven rebounds.

Missouri State only made one basket in the third quarter, shooting 1-11 from the field, but 9-10 from the line.

Kaemyn Bekemeier has been the most prolific scorer in Conference USA to start league play, averaging a league best 20.8 points per game. Bekemeier at 5-foot-9 is fourth in the league in rebounding with 8.4 per game. The free throw line is key to Bekemeier's game, having the most makes (37) and the second most attempts (46) of any CUSA player in league play.

Bekemeier is a three time CUSA Player of the Week, winning most recently on January 12th after two exceptional performances against Kennesaw State and Jacksonville State. The Republic, Missouri native scored 26 and 31 while grabbing 11 and 14 rebounds in those games. Bekemeier has scored 20 or more points eight times and has failed to reach double-figures only once.

Missouri State is seventh in the country in free throw attempts per game, shooting 24 attempts. They are also seventh in makes per game at 17.7 per game. Both are second in CUSA to FIU, their travel partner.

THE SERIES
The Lady Techsters trail the Lady Bears 1-4 in the all time series history. This is the first matchup between the two programs as Conference USA foes with MoState joining the league this season. The last matchup between the Lady Techsters and Lady Bears was in 2018 in the Roo Holiday Classic in Kansas City with MSU defeating LA Tech 82-70.
