ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 5 Louisiana Tech bowling team totaled a 5,237 pinfall to move up two spots into third place Saturday after going 2-3 in traditional match play.
The Bulldogs picked up wins over Lewis (1,145-840) and UAB (1,087-1040). LA Tech fell to No. 16 Newman (1,039-1,065), No. 11 Sacred Heart (1,056-1,089) and No. 4 Nebraska (910-1,060).
Jenna Stretch finished sixth out 102 as an individual after rolling a 280, 195, 234, 235 and 194 for a total pinfall of 1,138.
Despite the losses, Tech is now in third place with a 10,294 total pinfall after Friday's 5,057 total baker score and today's 5,237.
Wichita State (10,797) sits atop of the leader board followed by Sacred Heart (10,397), LA Tech and UAB (10,260).
The Bulldogs will take on UAB tomorrow in its first of three best-of-seven baker matches.
