Four Bulldogs Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

RUSTON – Four Louisiana Tech football players earned 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, the organization announced Tuesday.

Tight end Brayden Bockler, long snapper Ean Burch, wide receiver Devin Gandy and defensive lineman Caleb Sims all recorded a 3.5 GPA or higher while making significant contributions on the field.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Football teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Bockler, a junior college transfer from Saddleback College, carries a 3.596 GPA in finance. The first-year tight end played in all 13 games, making two starts. The California native caught one pass for five yards at Washington State and helped the Bulldog offense produce four 300-yard rushing performances, including one 400-yard outing and seven individual 100-yard rushing games.

Burch played in all 13 games as the team's long snapper. The Shreveport native posted a 3.659 GPA in finance and graduated with his bachelor's degree this fall. He served as the snapper on both field goals and punts, helping LA Tech finish 12-for-20 on field goals, while the punting unit averaged 47.27 yards per punt.

Gandy excelled in his lone season at LA Tech after transferring from Sacramento State. He registered a 3.688 post-baccalaureate GPA and played in all 13 games with 11 starts. Gandy finished the season with 22 receptions for 376 yards and two touchdowns. As a return man, Gandy led CUSA with 16 kick returns for 474 yards and two touchdowns, with an average of 29.63 yards per return.

Sims, a transfer from East Texas A&M, posted a 3.81 GPA to earn Academic All-District honors. He saw action in all 13 games on the defensive line, recording 12 tackles and two tackles for loss.
