No. 7 Louisiana Tech finishes day two of the Colonial Classic still in first place with 5,165 pins, totalling 10,021 pins and a 9-1 record.
HARAHAN, La. - No. 7 Louisiana Tech finishes day two of the Colonial Classic still in first place with 5,165 pins, totaling 10,021 pins and a 9-1 record.
The Bulldogs recorded a 4-1 record at Colonial Lanes in Harahan, one of three teams with at least nine wins. LA Tech put together three matches of over 1k pins and 1,085 in match five. It was the third most in a game and the Bulldogs are one of three teams to put up multiple 1k pin games.
18 of the games played by the Bulldogs scored over 200 pins, hitting as much as 256 in Kylie Trexler's effort against No. 8 Sam Houston. The Bulldogs pulled off their second ranked win of the season, defeating Sam Houston 1,085-973.
Tomorrow, LA Tech will play No. 9 North Carolina A&T in the first round of the Sunday Championship Bracket. The winner of the match will automatically qualify for the finals. The loser will compete against the winner of Alabama State and Tulane.
