LA Tech's offense erupted in the second half, outscoring the Eagles 54-23 on 50 percent shooting. The defense was stifling, forcing 13 turnovers and blocking three shots, only allowing five baskets the entire second half. The Lady Techsters made seven threes in the second half, shooting 41.2 percent from deep to win 90-51 in the home opener.
Â

Â
Excited about how our team came out and started in front of a great crowd. This is one of the best days of the year because we have such a great opportunity to positively impact so many students that could be attending their first college basketball game. We take great pride in competing in a way that inspires them and showcase how to be a great teammate, be coachable and give great effort.
Â
A lot of positives to take away from game two of the season, a little sloppy at times. A few moments of carelessness, but I thought we came out in the second half and really moved the ball well and hunted good shots together.
