ABOUT LOUISIANA TECH (17-5, 10-1 CUSA)
The Lady Techsters defeated New Mexico State in Las Cruces Saturday afternoon 77-58 to claim their 10th straight win, the longest streak in 15 years. It was the second slow start of the week for LA Tech, only managing 15 points in the first before scoring 23 in the second. The Aggies fought back hard in the third, outscoring Louisiana Tech 26-15 in the frame to close the lead to four. New Mexico State shot 78.6 percent in the quarter, making nine shots in a row. Resilience would define the fourth quarter for the Lady Techsters, outscoring the Aggies 24-9 in the final frame to win their 10th game in conference play 77-58.

Alexia Weaver had a historic performance in Las Cruces. Weaver had a team high 20 points, making a career high five three pointers on only six attempts. The Three Rivers transfer capped the afternoon with seven steals, a new career high and the most by a Lady Techster since Kierra Anthony had the same against Southern Miss in 2019.

Weaver has been one of the best three point shooters in the conference during league play. The junior from Louisville is shooting 55.6 percent from behind the arc, the highest mark of any player in league play.

Louisiana Tech is having a historic season sharing the rock. Currently 24th in the country, the Lady Techsters are averaging 17.4 assists per game, their highest mark of the 21st century. In conference play, LA Tech ups its average to 18.6, a mark that would sit top 10 in the country.

Leading the Lady Techsters in scoring is Paris Bradley, averaging 16.1 points per game in league play, the sixth most. Bradley currently shoots from the charity stripe at the highest mark in the league at 85.0 percent and the third best from the field at 49.6 percent.

The Lady Techsters are currently in first place and have won 10 games in a row, their longest streak in 15 years. Louisiana Tech is on pace to be the only women's basketball team in Conference USA history to average 75.0 points per game while holding the opposing team to less than 60.0 points per game.

ABOUT FIU (14-8, 7-3 CUSA)
The Panthers are coming to Ruston fresh off their first 2-0 home stand, defeating WKU and Middle Tennessee in Miami. Against the Blue Raiders, the Panthers found themselves in a 10 point hole entering halftime, but resilient third quarter defense held MTSU to 11 points and 28 percent shooting, tying the game heading back to the benches. FIU put together a timely 6-0 run to keep the lead in the final minutes, winning 60-58, their first victory over the Blue Raiders since 2022.

Parris Atkins and Rhema Collins shared the scoring title, pouring in 15 points apiece in the Panther victory.

Atkins and Collins continue to be two of the best scorers in the league. Collins, an Ole Miss transfer, averages a league best 18.3 points per game as well as 9.9 rebounds per game and 1.7 blocks per game, both also league bests. Atkins is third in points with 17.3 points per game, failing to score in double figures only once this season.

The Panthers get to the line at one of the highest rates in the country, shooting 25.3 free throws per game, the third highest mark. Despite making the fifth most in the country at 17.5, FIU falls to 240th in the country in percentage at 68.9 percent.

THE SERIES
Louisiana Tech is 19-4 against FIU in the all-time series, defeating the Panthers 74-59 in Miami this past January. Kaleigh Thompson led the Lady Techsters with 16 points and eight rebounds.
