Kylee Trexler Receives Winter Spirit of Service Award

Trexler recognized for excellence in academics, leadership and community service

RUSTON - Louisiana Tech Bowling's Kylee Trexler was one of 12 student-athletes that received the Conference USA Winter Spirit of Service Award, announced by the league office on Thursday.
 
The award honors student-athletes with significant community service endeavors, good academic standing, and participation in their respective sport.

Trexler has been an active leader and servant within the Louisiana Tech community, representing the bowling program on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and serving as SAAC Co-President for the 2025-26 academic year.

She has participated in development workshops with students from the Boys and Girls Club while also giving back locally by assisting a Ruston resident with yardwork following surgery. Trexler has volunteered her time at numerous events, including accompanying guest faculty coaches during a home football game, working alongside teammates with Special Olympics and helping organize and lead a SAAC canned food drive.

In the classroom, Trexler has matched her athletic and service excellence with an impressive list of academic honors. She is a two-time Conference USA Academic Medalist (2025, 2026) and a three-time member of the CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll (2024-26). She also earned 2025 CSC Academic All-District honors and has been named to the NTCA All-Academic Team twice (2024, 2025). Trexler is an eight-time Dean's List honoree, two-time President's List selection and has earned a spot on the
AD Honor Roll eight times.

Trexler carries a 3.77 GPA in Exercise and Health Promotion. She is pursuing a minor in Sports and Exercise Psychology.

The junior competed in all 10 NCAA events this season and all three USBC events.

In NCAA team play, Trexler totaled 420 completed frames with an average of 20.54 pins per frame and an overall fill percentage of 85.5%. She has recorded a 53.4% strike rate (225-of-421) while converting 68.9% of all spare opportunities, including an 82.8% conversion rate on makeable spares and an 88.3% clip on single-pin attempts. Trexler has also shown reliability in pressure situations, posting a 79.1% fill rate in the 10th frame with a 19.56 average, while filling 71.4% of her leadoff opportunities.

In NCAA Baker play, she has logged 727 frames with a 20.61 average and an 87.5% fill rate. She owns a 49.7% strike percentage (365-of-735) while converting 75.1% of her spare chances, including an 84.6% rate on makeable spares and a 90.8% mark on single pins. Trexler has also delivered in key spots, posting an 89.1% leadoff fill rate and a 52.0% leadoff strike percentage.
