Angela Turner

Was one of the best players ever to come through Tech's nationally prominent women's basketball program. She was a First Team Kodak All-American in 1982 and named the Most Valuable Player at the 1981 national championship tournament. Started all four years and finished with 2,262 points. Turner helped the Techsters compile a record of 143-10 and win two national crowns during her career. Also an outstanding student, she was Tech's first ever recipient of the NCAA post-graduate scholarship and compiled a 3.35 GPA. Known for her fluid shooting touch, Turner came out of Shady Grove High as an All-American and all-stater.
