Louisiana Tech women’s basketball head coach Brooke Stoehr completed her staff hiring of Kerry Callender as the new director of basketball operations 

 Kerry Callender comes to Ruston after two seasons with the Texas Tech Lady Red Raider basketball program as a graduate assistant.
 
Callender’s main responsibilities for the Lady Raider program included assisting the director of basketball operations in day-to-day operations, scheduling, team travel logistics, and Krista Gerlich Summer Basketball Camp coordination. 
 
During his time at Tech, he completed a dual-degree program, obtaining both a Masters in Sports Management and an MBA.
 
“I’m very excited for the incredible opportunity to work with Coach Stoehr, her staff, and Lady Techster Basketball,” said Callender. “This program has so much tradition and I’m grateful to be a part of the Lady Techster family.”
 
Callender graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in Business. There, he spent two-and-a-half years as an athletic training student assistant working with various athletic teams. 
 
During his last semester and the year following his graduation, Callender worked as an operations assistant at the Valero Texas Open golf tournament on the PGA Tour, where he assisted in on-course build-out planning and execution, signage planning, security scheduling, as well as logistics for parking and transportation.
