Bernadette Forbush joined the Louisiana Tech Athletic Department in January 2023 as the Assistant Sports Peformance Coach working with women's basketball, volleyball, bowling and men's golf. Forbush comes to Ruston, from Brookings, S.D., where she worked for South Dakota State Athletics as a graduate intern. 

Forbush is currently working towards her master's degree in Exercise Science through South Dakota State University. Forbush was in charge of training cheer and dance while assisting volleyball, football, track and field and softball while with the Jack Rabbits.

Forbush graudated with her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and Psychology from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, S.D. While at Augustana, she worked as a student coach on the track and field team  (2016-2019), in addition to assisting in the training of softball, swimming and volleyball in 2019. 

Forbush is a Certified Level 1 Weightlifting Coach (USAW1) through United States Weightlifting, and the America Heart Association (CPR/AED). She is currently working towards becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
