Stephanie Smart returned to her Alma Mater as an Associate Athletic Trainer in 2023, working primarily with Women's Basketball.

Prior to her move back to Ruston, Smart worked four years at Piedmont University in Demorest, GA, as the athletic trainer for volleyball, women's basketball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf, and split responsibilities for cheer. Before her time at Piedmont, she spent time at Louisiana Christian University. 

Stephanie obtained her B.S. in Kinesiology from Louisiana Tech in 2016 and her M.S. in Athletic Training from Marshall University in 2018. 

Stephanie is CPR/AED certified, a licensed athletic trainer in Louisiana and Georgia, a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association, and a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist.

She is a proud dog mom to her yellow lab, Roux.
