George Brandon Jr.

George "GB" Brandon Jr.

George Brandon Jr. was hired in the summer of 2024 to be the Assistant A.D. for Broadcasting and Production at Louisiana Tech. 

Brandon came to Ruston from Stephen F. Austin where he spent three years with the Lumberjacks. He took over the Broadcast & Video Production role in the fall of 2022 at SFA after serving as the video coordinator for the Men’s Basketball program. In Brandon’s lone season, the program achieved their first WAC conference championship.  

Prior to joining SFA, Brandon graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in May 2021 with a master's degree in Sports Management. Brandon was a graduate assistant coach for the men's basketball program for two seasons, overseeing the operations of the program as well as scouting, recruiting, and on court instruction for two seasons. 

Brandon graduated from Southern Illinois University in the spring of 2019 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in coaching. While at SIU, Brandon served as the head manager for the men's basketball program. In his four seasons, his duties included on floor skill development of guards, assisting with scouting reports, helping with on-campus visits, working on film breakdown, and coordinating team travel and meals. 
 
A native of Evanston, Ill., Brandon played high school basketball at Niles North. Since his playing days, he has experience as a coach in AAU basketball with the Illinois Bears.
