Baker Medals at Bob Brown Sportscare Classic

NEW ORLEANS -- Louisiana Tech junior Chris Baker shot a two-round total of 144 to lead the Bulldogs to 10th place finish at the Bob Brown Sportscare Classic at the Golf Club of New Orleans.
The Shreveport, La., native earned all-tournament honors after finishing fifth among a field of 95 golfers at the event on the par 72, 7,005-yard course. Baker shot a 70 on the first day of competition before finishing the event with a 74.
Tech's Jay Caserta shot a total of 155 to place 34th while Scott Rainwater and Sean Knox each shot 158 (51st) and Casey Martin 163 (74th).
As a team the Bulldogs sat in fifth place after day one with a 305, but their second day total of 310 saw them slide to 10th.
