JONESBORO, Ark. - Louisiana Tech salvaged game three of a Sun Belt Conference series with a 3-0 win over Arkansas State on Sunday afternoon.

Casey Blalock (3-2) pitched a complete game six hitter for the Bulldogs in the game. Blalock struck out eight men and walked only two batters in the tilt. The junior picked up his first win since February 9th and pitched his third complete game of the season and second shutout of the year in the victory.

Tech took their first lead of the series with three two-out runs in the fifth inning. Two out walks to Darin Uptigrove and Dan Preaus put two men on before Lane LaBorde singled to right to score one run. Wade Robinson followed with a two RBI double down the left field line for a 3-0 Bulldog lead.

Blalock got out of a jam in the eight when he induced a double play ball from Allen Mazzanti with runners on first and second with one out. I Indian starter John Anderson (2-2) allowed five hits and three runs in 6 1/3 innings.

The Bulldogs return to action Tuesday when Tech travels to take on Texas-Arlington in a doubleheader to begin at 2 p.m.
