Tech Golfers 10th After Day 2

DENTON, Texas - Louisiana Tech shot 11 strokes better on day two of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament but couldn't improve its place in the overall standings as the Bulldogs remain 10th heading into the final day at the Trophy Club Country Club.
Haraldur Hemission led Tech for the second straight day with a 73, while teammate Chris Baker was close behind with a second round total of 74. Sean Knox shot a 77, while Jay Caserta recorded a 79 and Scott Rainwater registered an 83 to round out the scoring for the Bulldogs.
As a team Coach Tom Stinson's squad shot a 303 to record a two-day total of 617. Arkansas-Little Rock leads the tournament with a 590, followed by Middle Tennessee (595), Denver (596), Louisiana-Lafayette (602), Western Kentucky (602), South Alabama (603), Arkansas State (603), North Texas (606), New Mexico State (613), Tech and New Orleans (622).
Hemission's two-round total of 150 is 15th among the 54 golfers participating heading into Wednesday's final day.
