Weather conditions allowed Tech to play for the first time in seven days, but the Lady Techsters didn't respond well dropping three games by the scores of 14-0, 5-1 and 8-1 to fall to 1-9 on the season. The three games were part of the Compass Bank Invitational hosted by Baylor.

In game one Baylor (10-7) scored four runs in the second inning and eight runs in the third inning to finish off the Lady Techsters early on in the contest.

The Lady Techsters lost by a final of 14-0 in five innings while committing four errors and allowing eight unearned runs. Tech couldn't manage much offense as the team totaled just three hits for the game.

Freshman Kristin Rupp (0-5) picked up the loss for Tech giving up seven runs (four earned) in two innings of work. Senior pitcher Marla Pinkston entered the game during the third inning in a relief appearance and gave up seven runs (two earned) over the final three innings.

Senior third baseman Casey Reiff had one hit and two walks in the game.
Lady Techster pitching and defense improved in the second game but Tech still dropped a competitive contest to Western Athletic Conference rival Tulsa (7-5) by a score of 5-1.

Pinkston (1-2) started the game going two innings and allowing four runs while walking six. Rupp came in and pitched the final four innings allowing two hits and one run while striking out three.

The Techsters scored their first run of the day when sophomore center fielder Amber Miles singled starting off the fourth inning and later scored on a single to left field by sophomore catcher Ashley Aycock.

However, Tech managed only four hits for the ballgame and couldn't push across any more runs to close gap against Tulsa.

In game three Tech's offensive struggles continued as the Techsters managed just one run on a RBI single by freshman Mary Cohn. Junior Sabra Warner (0-2) picked up the loss for while throwing a complete game.

Tech returns to action on Sunday with games at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
