Meeking Making Mark In NBDL
Former Louisiana Tech Bulldog Antonio Meeking has been on a roll as he has dominated play in the NBA?s National Basketball Development League.
Meeking, a forward for the Asheville Altitude, was named the NBDL Player of the Month for games in November and leads the league in scoring.
The former All-Western Athletic Conference forward at Tech (6-7, 270) averaged 27.8 minutes, 23.3 points and 7.0 rebounds through four games in November. He currently leads the NBDL in scoring (20.8 ppg), rankes tenth in field goal percentage (.548) and fourth in rebounds (7.9 rpg).
His best scoring performance came when he poured in 29 points against Huntsville on Dec. 10 and he also connected on 13 field goals at Fayetteville on Nov. 20 when he scored 28 points. His lowest scoring night of the season was 17 points against Fayetteville on Nov. 27, but he also grabbed 10 rebounds in that game.
Meeking is the 11th leading scorer in Louisiana Tech history and scored 1,541 points for the Bulldogs for an average of 13.2 per game. He ranks 10th in all-time Tech rebounds with 814.
