Louisiana Tech sophomore forward Paul Millsap was named the Western Athletic Conference men's basketball Player of the Week Monday for his efforts in a pair of home wins for the Bulldogs last week.

Millsap averaged 21 points, 13.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocked shots and one steal on the week as Tech won a pair of WAC homes over Hawaii (71-70) and San Jose State (72-55).

The 6-8, 243-pounder had quite a 20th birthday against Hawaii on Feb. 10 as he hit on 10-of-17 shots from the floor and 9-of-14 free throws to finish with 29 points while adding 13 rebounds, two steals and three blocked shots. Millsap chalked up his 16th double-double on the season against San Jose State as he
totaled 13 points and 13 rebounds.

The award was the second time this season Millsap has been named the WAC men's basketball Player of the Week and the third time he has won the award during his career.
