KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Louisiana Tech track and field team wrapped up an outing at the NCAA Mideast Regional on the campus of the University of Tennessee with a few sixth place finishes.

?I was pleased because most of our kids replicated the marks that get them here in the first place,? Tech head track and field coach Gary Stanley said. ?I felt like we did very well.?

Both the women?s relay team finished sixth place with times of 45.08 seconds in the 4x100 and 3:34.98 in the 4x400.

Junior Miriam Barnes also took sixth with a time of 57.06 in the 400-meter hurdles.

Tech?s track team will travel back home and await to hear if anybody else qualified nationals with at-large bids to be announced by Monday.
