NEW YORK -- With the 47th pick in the 2006 NBA Draft, the Utah Jazz have selected Paul Millsap from Louisiana Tech University June 28 at Madison Square Garden in New York.

?We feel pretty good,? Millsap?s agent Deangelo Simmons said. ?It was a long wait but worth it. It worked out well for him and his family. We?re very happy for him.?

Millsap led the NCAA in rebounding an unprecedented three consecutive years in a row and was named first-team All-WAC in for his sophomore and junior years. Millsap will look to be the second Louisiana Tech ball player to become an NBA legend for Utah after Karl Malone.
