Harvey, de Soysa Leads Bulldogs in VegasBoxscore LAS VEGAS ? Louisiana Tech golfers
Matthew Harvey and
Amrith de Soysa each shot three-round totals of 221 to lead the Bulldogs to a 13th place finish in the 17-team Shootout at Angel Park Saturday and Sunday.
UNLV won the event with a team total of 840 followed by Cal State-Northridge (857), UNLV-B (869), Southern Utah (870), and San Jose State (871). Tech finished the event with a team total of 889 to finish just six strokes off of eighth-place.
Harvey and de Soysa both started the tournament with opening round 76s before settling down to each register a round of 73 and 72 to finish for a tie for 37th place.
Ryan Robertson finished tied for 47th with a 223 in his first event as a Bulldog while
Dustin Baker shot a 224 to finish 53rd and
Corey Bartlett added a 233 to finish in 84th.
Gonzaga?s Brandon Crick won the individual title with a three-round total of 207.
