Volleyball Hosts Fresno State in Lambright RUSTON -- The Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters (6-16; 1-8 WAC) will host conference rival Fresno State Saturday, Oct. 13, at 2 p.m. in the Lambright Intramural Center.
The Techsters most recently lost on the road to No. 20 ranked New Mexico State in three games.
?We played well at times and not so well at times,? Tech head coach Heather Mazeitis said. ?The girls showed fight and tenacity tonight. Our offensive efficiency was our main problem tonight.?
Senior
Shannon Phillips finished the night with 11 kills for Tech, while junior
Brittney Nakamura and senior
Kristen Fairbanks finished with 11 and 10 digs, respectively. Senior
Jill Walker tallied 19 assists and 10 digs for the match.
The Lady Bulldogs and the Techsters met in September where Fresno bested Tech in three games. Phillips tacked on 22 kills and 12 digs for another double-double while adding four solo blocks and one block assist, while sophomore
Samantha Crowder also finished with 11 kills and was involved in three blocks.
