HOUSTON -- After a commanding 3-0 win over Rice Friday night, the Louisiana Tech Lady Techsters (1-2) lost both matches Saturday on the final day of the 2007 Mizuno Invitational by a finals of three games to none.

Oral Roberts defeated Tech 30-24, 30-27 and 30-21 in the 10:30 a.m. match, while Lamar beat the Techsters 30-18, 31-29 and 32-30 in the 4:30 p.m. match.

Senior Kristen Fairbanks chalked up her third double-double of the year in as many games with 11 kills and 12 digs against Lamar. Senior Shannon Phillips finished with 22 kills and seven digs, while senior Jill Walker set 42 assists in the later match.

Prior against Oral Roberts, Fairbanks finished with her second double-double of the season with 13 kills and 10 digs. Phillips finished the match with 15 kills and seven digs.

Sophomore KC Clayton earned five blocks for the Techsters for the day, while juniors Brittney Nakamura and Debora Bolohnini finished with 11 and 10 digs, respectively.

Tech will return to action Tuesday, Aug. 28, in a match with the University of Texas-Arlington at 7 p.m.
