Matthew Harvey fired a final round 72 Tuesday to finish 17th overall and lead Louisiana Tech at the Scenic City Invitational at Council Fire.
Despite Harvey?s three-round total of 1-over-par 214, the Bulldogs struggled in the opening tournament of the fall, finishing 14th at the 17-team event with a 26-over-par 878..
Charlotte defended its Scenic City Invitational title, firing a three-round team total of 30-under-par 822 followed by Tennessee-Chattanooga, Oklahoma, LSU, and Middle Tennessee State.
Charlotte?s Cory Nagy took home the individual title at the tournament with a 10-under-par total of 203 followed closely by Eric Durbin (Oklahoma), Chas Narramore (MTSU), Ben Rickett (UTC) and Stefan Wiedergruen (Charlotte) who all finished at 7-under-par.

Dustin Baker recorded the best round of the day for Tech with an even par 71 to finish tied for 52nd place with a three-round total of 221.
Corey Bartlett (223, T62nd),
Amrith de Soysa (224, T66th) and
Chad Bailey (226, T76th) rounded out the scoring for the Bulldogs.
