RUSTON - Louisiana Tech Athletic Director Jim Oakes announced Sunday that the Bulldogs non-conference football game against Army has been set for Oct. 25.
The road game will be played at Michie Stadium at West Point on the fourth playing date in October and will be the first time Louisiana Tech will play an armed forces school.
Oakes said the Tech-Army game is expected to be televised on ESPNU or ESPN Classic. Army will return to game to Ruston in either 2010 or 2013.
Head coach Derek Dooley's team will open the season Aug. 30 at home against Mississippi State at Joe Aillet Stadium. Tech's other two non-conference games are Sept. 6 at Kansas and Sept. 20 against Southeastern Louisiana in Ruston.
Dates for the Bulldogs eight Western Athletic Conference games should be released by the league sometime in February.
