RUSTON -- After a 3-1 loss to Boise State Thursday night, the Louisiana Tech Lady Techtsers (3-13; 0-7 WAC) return to the Thomas Assembly Center Saturday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m. to take on the Idaho Vandals (10-6; 3-2 WAC).
Thursday, the Broncos downed the Techsters by final scores of by final scores of 22-25, 18-25, 25-20 and 25-17.
After falling down two sets, the Techtsers stormed into set three with a .219 hitting percentage and 13 total kills to win 25-20. It would not be enough, as Boise State would win set four 25-17.
Junior KC Clayton and sophomore Taylor Fritz led the Techsters with 10 kills apiece. Clayton also hit .292 for the entire match.
Sophomore setter Bianca Bin totaled 30 assists, while four Techsters totaled double-digit digs led by senior Debora Bolonhini with 15. Freshman Kaylon Alexander totaled 14, while Fritz and Bin finished with 11 and 10, respectively.
The Vandals are on a three-match winning streak dating back to Sept. 25. Idaho most recently beat Fresno State 3-0.
Clayton leads Tech at 2.04 kills per set, while Idaho is led by Haley Larsen at 4.47 kills per set.
