With the win Tech improves to 9-2-1 on the season heading into a non-conference contest against Houston Baptist on Sunday at noon.
The Lady Techsters wasted little time in jumping out on top of Prairie View A&M as Denise Wilson scored in the first 30 seconds of the contest on an assist from Olivia Lukasewich. The goal set a program record for the fastest ever scored in a game, surpassing the old record of 41 seconds set earlier this year against Southern.

The lead increased to 3-0 when Lukasewich scored a goal in the 13th minute on an assist by Rachel King.

"Since we play another game in 24 hours, I used a lot of people," said Tech head coach Kevin Sherry. "I was pleased with everyone. I wanted to see if we could treat this game like a WAC game and we did. Everyone played with intensity."
Kurokawa scored Tech's first goal of the second half in the 68th minute on an assist by Laney and then Brittany Coffinbargar scored her first career goal in the 78th minute on an assist by Kurokawa giving Tech the 8-0 victory.
