RUSTON, La. - The newest feature of the redesigned latechsports.com is up and running as Louisiana Tech fans can now purchase tickets online through the athletic department's online ticket operations.

Football season tickets are currently on sale and with the click of a mouse fans can purchase new season tickets or renew their current tickets. Information on all six season ticket packages is available on the site.

"Online ticketing allows our fans to purchase or renew tickets at their convenience," said Derek Dooley, athletic director and head football coach. "It is part of a continued effort by our Athletic Department to better serve our supporters."

Current season ticket holders' user names and passwords - which are needed to purchase online - were mailed Monday, April 14.

Any current season ticket holder who didn't receive this information in the mail can call the Tech Ticket Office at 318-257-3631 or contact Chance Snow via email at chance@latech.edu.

With a record six home games on the slate including a nationally-televised season opener against 2007 Liberty Bowl champion Mississippi State, season tickets are selling fast so all Tech fans are encouraged to buy online today by visiting www.latechsports.com.

The deadline for current season ticket holders to renew is May 31.
