MADISON, Miss. - Amrith de Soysa and Chad Bailey both finished in the top 25 to pace Louisiana Tech to a 10th place finish at the Bank of America Intercollegiate hosted by Ole Miss at Reunion Golf Country Club Monday and Tuesday.
de Soysa shot a final round 76 to finish two-over-par 218 and finish tied for 21st at the event while Bailey had his best performance of the season, shooting a final round 74 to finish three-over-par 219 and tied for 24th.
Bailey's 74 Tuesday tied for the team best with Matthew Harvey.
Harvey's 74 wasn't enough to overcome a tough first day as the sophomore finished tied for 51st with a three-round total of 11-over-par 227.
Ryan Robertson tied for 35th place after firing a final round 76 and ending the event with a six-over-par 222. Corey Bartlett finished in 55th place with a tournament total of 12-over-par 228.
UAB's Zach Sucher won the event with a nine-under-par 207, edging Ole Miss' Jonathan Randolph by two strokes.
Tennessee-Chattanooga won the 15-team event with a team total of 852 followed by LSU (856), North Florida (865), Ole Miss (865), Vanderbilt (872), UAB (873), North Carolina Greensboro (876), Mississippi State (877), South Alabama (883), Tech (884), Southern Miss (890), Memphis (890), Southeastern Louisiana (911), Mercer (915) and Jackson State (917).
Tech competes next in the Western Athletic Conference Championships held May April 28-30 in San Jose, Calif.
