RUSTON - Louisiana Tech head coach Jean Hall announced his fall golf schedule Friday which includes four road tournaments and the 2008 Squire Creek Invitational hosted in October.

The Bulldogs who return the nucleus of last year's squad, including first team all-Western Athletic Conference member Matthew Harvey, open the fall season Sept. 8 and 9 at the Scenic City Invitational hosted by UT-Chattanooga at Council Fire Golf Club.

The tournament will feature some of the top teams in the country including Middle Tennessee, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Charlotte and kicks off what Hall said is a very challenging fall schedule.

"It's the best schedule we've ever had," Hall said. "Every tournament we play in is quality and the courses we play on are quality. We will be facing some of the top teams in the country, and it will only make us better."

Tech travels to Mobile, Ala. Sept. 15 and 16 to compete in the Jaguar Intercollegiate Classic at The Azalea Golf Club.

The Bulldogs will then compete at the Memphis Intercollegiate Golf Classic Oct. 6 and 7 at the Colonial Country Club in Memphis as that field includes Louisville, Ole Miss, Wisconsin, Ohio State and Mississippi State.

One week later Tech hosts the Louisiana Tech/Squire Creek Golf Classic Oct. 13 and 14. The 16-team field will consist of LSU, Ole Miss, Louisville, Middle Tennessee State, Texas-Arlington and other top 100 teams.

"It's the strongest field we've ever had from top to bottom," Hall said. "It's a great field. The people in our area will get an opportunity to see some of the best college players in the nation. Most of the schools who will be competing went to the NCAA Tournament last year and had good showings."

Tech's fall finale will be at the Kauai Collegiate Invitational at Puakea Golf Club in Hawaii Nov. 3-5.

"We will get an opportunity to play against some of the teams from our conference as well as teams from the West Coast that we normally wouldn't face," Hall said. "It's a good experience for our guys."

Sept. 8-9 at Scenic City Invitational (UT-Chattanooga) Council Fire Golf Club in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Sept. 15-16 at The Jaguar Intercollegiate Classic (South Alabama) The Azalea Golf Club in Mobile, Ala.

Oct. 6-7 at Memphis Intercollegiate Golf Classic (Memphis) Colonial Country Club in Memphis, Tenn.

Oct.13-14 Squire Creek Golf Classic (Louisiana Tech) Squire Creek Country Club in Choudrant, La.

Nov. 3-5 at Kauai Collegiate Invitational (Hawaii) Puakea Golf Club in Kauai, Hawaii
